Reaching your fitness goals starts with understanding your body’s fuel requirements. Our Free Calorie Calculator uses scientifically backed formulas to estimate the number of daily calories your body needs to maintain, lose, or gain weight.

By analyzing your age, gender, height, weight, and physical activity level, this tool provides a comprehensive roadmap for your nutrition. Whether you are an athlete looking to build muscle or someone starting a weight loss journey in 2026, knowing your "Maintenance Calories" is the first step toward success.

What this tool provides:

  • BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate): The calories your body burns at rest.

  • TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure): Your total daily burn including exercise.

  • Goal Settings: Specific calorie targets for mild weight loss, extreme weight loss, or muscle gain.

  • 100% Free: No subscriptions or fitness "pro" plans required on HelpingWebTools.com.

How accurate is this calorie calculator? Our tool uses the Mifflin-St. Jeor Equation, which is considered the most accurate for healthy adults. While it provides an excellent estimate, individual metabolisms can vary by 10-15%.

How many calories should I cut for weight loss? A general rule of thumb is to reduce your TDEE by 500 calories per day to lose approximately 0.5 kg (1 lb) per week. However, we always recommend consulting with a nutritionist before starting a significant deficit.

What is the difference between BMR and TDEE? BMR is what you burn just to stay alive (heart beating, breathing). TDEE is your BMR plus all the calories you burn walking, talking, and exercising.

Does age affect my calorie needs? Yes. As we age, our metabolic rate naturally slows down slightly due to changes in hormone levels and muscle mass. Our calculator accounts for this by factoring your age into the formula.

Is my health data private on HelpingWebTools? Absolutely. We do not store your height, weight, or age. All calculations are performed instantly in your browser and are deleted the moment you close the tab.
